With just six rooms, this soulful white stone farmhouse surrounded by acres of olive groves is one of the most peaceful properties in Puglia. Designed by star architect Andrew Trotter, it has a rustic-chic farmhouse feel, which is enhanced by the farm-to-table cuisine whipped up by the hotel's chef, Giorgia Goggi. It’s just outside Ostuni, which is not as far south in Salento, so expect a significant drive to many of the best swim spots and restaurants, but it’s more than worth it for a few nights or—at the very least—a special diner.
No visit to Puglia is complete without a meal at Masseria Moroseta, just outside Ostuni. Giorgia Eugenia Goggi has cooked there since 2017, no menu, just whatever came out of the garden that morning. Vegetables, olive oil from the grove, ceramics from Grottaglie. Some of the best food I’ve eaten anywhere. Book ahead.
